Answered Prayer

We often pray for things and yet don't truly believe the Lord like we ought. Not long before Katie was to be born, Jocelyn and I realized what a chore it would be to travel with two kids in our Altima. My family lives a good distance from Buffalo, and we want to go see them every now and then. We began praying that the Lord would provide a vehicle. For us to purchase anything was out of the question.

A few weeks after we began praying, someone approached us and told us that they wanted us to have their minivan. Honestly, I was floored! Long story short, God used a sweet couple to encourage us by giving us their minivan since they were purchasing a newer vehicle. We just got it back a few days ago after having a little work done on it. It is a blessing!

Since we moved to Buffalo, God has proved Himself in our lives. Over and over, He has encouraged us just when we needed it. He is teaching us more of what it means to trust Him. God's Word reminds us in Hebrew 11:6 that, "...without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." I want my family to be one which diligently seeks the Lord and sees His hand strong in our lives. He is so good to us--how little we trust Him.

Thanks for tuning in today--hope your week is a good one!

Welcome to the mommy van club:o)
Here are a few things we pass on to novice club members ~

~If you get into your van and it smells like something died in it, get on your hands and knees and look under all the seats to find the rancid 4 day old milk filled sippy cup. Dont bother to wash, promptly throw away.

~Rarely does a double stroller (which i am sure you have graduated to) AND weeks worth of groceries fit in the trunk, at the same time. If the back seat folds down, that is a good place to stash your stroller during such trips to the grocery store.

~Keep a box of wipes in your van at all times. They famously clean car vinyl, spilled juice, dirty hands, fallen pacifiers, and that unknown stain on your church clothes that you noticed, too late, on your way to church.

Enjoy all the extra room and the V-6 engine, and remember....the turn radius is NOTHING like your previous car. :o)

Thanks for sharing your blessings!

That's great! I am praying for a few pretty hard, impossible things right now. I'm glad you posted that - it encourages me to keep praying!! "For with God nothing shall be impossible."
