Our Children and the Bible

It should be the desire of every parent that their children follow the Lord. What a wonderful joy it is to see families who follow God. Often I have heard the term "get in the Bible" to refer to a personal devotional life. Recently, I opened my Bible to read, only to discover that Abbie had "gotten in the Word." The only problem is that she used a pen....just like she has seen Daddy do. This was not my idea of a good way for her to spend time in the Bible at this young age.

Emma did the same thing to the Bible that Shane preaches out of....opps!
I'm not sure WHO did it in my Bible! It's one of eight... or maybe, there was two! :) Jeri Lynn
It's not funny now, but I'm sure you will love it when she's like 20 and away in college :). I did it to my dad's Bible too...It's like cutting hair, they're going to try it at least once in their life :)

Oh, no! I'm so sorry - I'm really trying not to laugh!
Be sure to put Abbie's name on those pgs, so when Katie does the same, you know which inscription was from which little girl. I have a couple of those in my Bible, and now that they are teenagers, it's heartwarming to find them.
Oh no! Oh well. My mom has a page in her Bible where I put gum when I was little. It ripped out the bottom half of about two or three pages. I know she treasures it except for the verses she can't read. :)
