Licking the Batter

Before we left for Kansas, my sister, Jo spent a couple of days with us. She was such a wonderful help around the house and with the kids. But, I think the best way she helped me was by making chocolate chip cookies. Some of my favorite things are: Mexican food (Chipotle to be exact!), chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream from Breyers! She hit a special chord when she made the cookies. Jo caught Abbie and I stealing some of the leftover batter––yum, yum!

Many people have asked if I am still alive -- the answer is very much, "Yes!" We have been extremely busy these past couple of weeks. My three posts a week turned into no posts a week. I am very sorry for not keeping up with it. I will try to bring you up to speed with this post. Thank you for your patience during the lapse.

Last week was our Camp Meeting at church. As you can imagine, services each night make for a busy week. We had a wonderful time and the Lord blessed with good preaching and good attendance.

Tuesday evening last week, my sister Jo Troell flew in to be with us for a few days. She has been a great help around the house and a great help with the kids.

On Sunday after the morning services, we all jumped in the van and drove to Overland Park, Kansas where we will be staying with my parents for a few weeks. While in Kansas, we will also be visiting Wichita, KS and Dallas, TX. We took turns driving all night and arrived safely in Overland Park at about 7:00 Monday morning. The little ones were very well behaved and we had a great trip together!

Big Smiles

OK...I am not going to kid you...this week will be a slow week for posting on the Troell Family Blog. This week is stacking up to be pretty intense.

We are enjoying beautiful weather here in Western New York. The temps are in the 70's which is a good thing. We had a great day in the church services with 7 new visitors!

There really is not a whole lot to report -- we are staying busy and enjoying serving the Lord!

Hope your weekend was a wonderful one and that your Lord's Day was blessed! As I am sure you can also testify...God has been so good to me! His provision never ceases to astound me! He knows exactly what I need and when I need it. So often, we depend on our own strength to "get it done" when we ought to rely on the Lord for everything. Let us be ones who seek Him first for everything.
