Katie is Crawling

Our youngest little crumb-cruncher is finally making her rounds with the greatest of ease. For a few weeks she has been working at crawling, but just recently is she puttering around like a real pro! It is wonderful to see children (especially your own) as they grow and learn and discover.

Troells Go to the Farm

Recently, we went to the pumkin farm as a family. Let me clarify...I despise Halloween! We simply went to spend time together as a family, pet the animals, and get a pumpkin for Abbie. (If you have questions on why I so hate Halloween, please feel free to contact me.) We had a great time together. I took lots of pictures, so this might seem like a photo marathon. I could not whittle the choices down to a simple few, so I thought I would share all of my favorites. Thank you for taking the time to visit us––it means a great deal.

From Long Ago (It Seems)

I was going through some things on Wednesday and found this photo of Abigail from Christmas of 2005. It amazes me each day how quickly time seems to go by!

Family Time at the Park

It is our habit (as much as possible) to spend at least one full evening together as a family. While the weather has been nice, Jocelyn often packs up the girls and goes to the park. The last big trip to the park found us all together as a happy, little family. The girls were very photogenic and we had a blast all at the same time. There are alot of pictures today, so enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by!

Stuck Under the Couch

On Thursday, I was working in my office and heard the scream of a distraught child wailing for her life. Being the wonderful father that I am, I hollered to Jocelyn to let her know that Katie needed her. Of course, Jocelyn was already on the move from the kitchen to the living room. She immediately hollered back and told me to bring the camera–-Katie was stuck under the couch and could not get out!

Now, for all you bleeding hearts reading this post, Katie began the play session in the middle of the living room surrounded by a couple of piles of toys. As she is learning to crawl and explore, it was apparent that she had wormed her way the wrong way around the room--backwards! So now, we are trying to teach her that the way to go is forward.

We are all doing very well and very busy these days. Thanks for tuning in today.

Abbie's Birthday

On September 29, we celebrated Abigail's 2nd birthday. We are grateful for the Lord blessing our family with this little bundle of joy! I would not trade my kids for the world! Click on the photo above to view the slideshow.

Living Life, or Loving Life?

I have a wonderful family! This week, the Lord has impressed upon me the importance of my family. There are no other human beings on this earth with whom I should be more tender than these ones for whom I am responsible. God has given you and me the opportunity to live with, and love these precious ones. My wife and my little daughters mean a great deal to me. I love spending time with them––what fun we have together! Each of us must learn to enjoy each moment, for we do not know when it may be our last. In Sunday School, our lesson was about not just living each day, but loving each day (I Peter 3:8-12). The way we get the most out of life is by getting the most out of each day. Our lives are made up of days, and days are made up of moments. Let us make the most of each moment!

Loving life,

Graduation

It is with great joy and excitement that I post this blog. Friday, October 5 at 3:00 p.m., Jason Williams will graduate and become a police officer in the town of Lewisville, TX. Jason is married to my sister, Elisabeth. It has been a hard journey for him and Liz, but he has completed the necessary course and passed all the tests. Both of them have worked hard towards this day.

Jason, we are proud of you and grateful for the effort you have put in. You will be a fine police officer! We love you!

Wrapped Up

The other day, I was sitting in my office working when I heard the door creak open. I have learned to keep my trusty camera handy for any such occasion. Abbie poked her head inside the door and then walked in wrapped in her bath towel. I was reminded of how precious our children are and how hard we need to work to make time to spend with them and let them know that we love them. Have a great day!

Finally, A New Post!

Thank you for your patience over the past weeks. Things have really picked up for the Troell family. I have traveled a great deal and have not been able to keep up with posting. Thank you to all those who have contacted us during this busy time and thank you to the many who have faithfully checked the blog. I have a few interesting things lined up for this week as I try to get back in the swing of posting three times weekly.

Before I went galavanting about, I took some photos of my three ladies. Here are the rest of them. Thank you for tuning in today. Enjoy your week!
