Baby Day

Every year at Temple Baptist Church we have a Baby Day Parade. Pastor has every child in the church 3 and under parade across the platform with their parents and get a photograph taken with him. It is something that parents look forward to each year. This year, Jocelyn and I got to take our little ones across. Here is the mug shot taken of the Troell banditos. Family Photos

Sunday, May 25, was our 6th anniversary--a perfect time for family photos. It just so happened that Sunday morning after the church services, I shot a some pictures of a couple going to England to work with Crown College England for a year. Before we finished, I asked to have our family picture taken. It is amazing how quickly our little girls are growing up.

Each year, Temple Baptist Academy hosts a special golf tournament to raise funds for the Academy athletic department. It is something that has grown each year and provides a great deal of enjoyment for those involved. This year, Pastor Sexton asked me to ride around with him for a little bit as he greeted the players. I enjoyed every moment with my pastor!

Jocelyn and the girls are in New York this week to spend some time with Jocelyn's parents. They will be returning at the end of the week. I miss my three ladies, but I am glad they can spend some time up in the North.

Dr. Jack Trieber

The third week of April and the weeks leading up to it is a very busy time around the Temple Baptist Church. It is the week of the Crown Bible Conference. Each year, Pastor Sexton invites a selection of preachers to come and preach. One of my favorites is Dr. Jack Trieber. He is one of the most encouraging men a person can meet. He has a way of making one feel as though there is no other person in the world at the moment he is speaking to them. When he came this year, the Lord used him to stir my heart with a message about the truth of the Judgement Seat of Christ. One day, we shall all stand before the Lord and give account. I want to be ready!

After the service, I took my family to where Dr. Trieber would be exiting after his meal with the other preachers. As anticipated, he stopped and spoke to us. He showed the girls photos of his family and spent a few precious minutes with us. We are grateful for him making us feel so special! Dr. Trieber is a wonderful man and we are grateful for his influence on us. We love Dr. Trieber and pray often for his ministry and his family.

Filling Daddy's Shoes
