Girls in Firehats

Yes, I know...It has been a while since I have posted images of our beautiful daughters. As most of the readers, we are staying incredibly busy. The Lord has been so good to us. We have enjoyed some special family time in the past few weeks. It has been awhile since I laughed as much as taking these photos. One of our favorite things to do is to go out to eat. As most have done, we, too, have cinched up our financial belt and have carefully selected our days to go out. One of our favorites, though is Firehouse Subs. Yum, yum!!! All children who eat at Firehouse Subs receive a free firehat. The next morning, Abbie and Katie were running around and I thought it would be good to post these photos. I trust that you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed them! Please continue to pray for us as we serve the Lord.

Fresh Post

Quite a bit has happened since my last post. Of course, we returned safely from Iraq. Our return trip led us through Istanbul, Turkey and Frankfurt, Germany. We were able to spend a little time in both of these cities seeing a few sites. Nothing could compare to the burden of seeing the thousands of people without Christ in these dark lands. It is amazing what happens to one's thinking when a person leaves the States for a little while. Our vision was enlarged and the Lord stirred us up on this trip to Iraq. Please pray that the Lord will guide us and propel this work forward.

After returning to the United States, I was sick for more than a week. Christmas was less than exciting for me as I wallowed in my self-pitying sickness. I do not like being sick! Thank the Lord, He has helped me to feel much better in recent days. I will never cease to be amazed. I traveled to the "Wild West" of the world without being sick. I ate strange food, slept in strange beds, and was around some pretty wretched conditions but return to the States, and "Whammo," I am ill! That is hard for me to wrap my mind around.

Work has been pretty busy as we are heading into the Faithful Men's meeting. The Lord is blessing our family and our church. Please continue to pray for us. We love you.
